I know its not the only bad road in Brantley but Buster Walker road is in bad need of a road grader. By the time some one gets from one end to the other ,your vehicle is pretty much dismantled ( or at least sounds that way). I know when the fuel prices were up to almost four dollars the county vehicle traffic had slowed up . Fuel is quite a bit lower now so lets get those graders rolling! When they do roll dont be scared to drop that blade and knock down the humps instead of laying dirt between them. Hmmm if a commisioner  moves out there we can get some results.

I remember reading or hearing several months back that there was going to be a cut to county services due to a loss of tax revenue. I don't know if that is correct or my mind is playing tricks on me. If true, I believe the new budget year begins 7/1. Maybe more frequent grading will resume. I know we could use some on CCC Rd.

yeah, Atkinson road hasn't been grated in about 2 months or so. What good is our taxes if they are going to blow the money and not take care of the citizens paying their lazy butts?

Guys,

Under the previous administration, our county has come up short several million dollars. We are now trying to work our way out of that hole.

At this point we are still in a bind.

If you want to know the current status, I might suggest you go to the official County web-site and read what the Chairman has to say.

Gatorbait, your road is scheduled to be the next one paved. They are working on it. Some of your neighbors have been holding the project up but that should be solved in the next month or so.

Kplumley, I'm sorry but the new budget has not even been adopted yet. It will take effect on January 1. Unfortunately we will still be in the same kind of bind we are now in so it's unlikely that things will get much better for a while. CCC Road will be graded on the same schedule as all the rest. Seems to me it's about half as often as last year. They are short three people and are doing all they can to save money. The people should be hired in the next month or so.

Trumpets, I live on Connie Lane and am very familiar with Atkinson Road. It was graded recently and will be graded again as soon as possible.

I hope you guys find this helpful.
