Yes, at this moment this house is still available. Although, we still have people interested & coming by to see it.
The house was built in 1950. It appears to be sturdy & in fairly good condition for an older house. As in all older houses, I am sure it will need some work. Possibly around the kitchen sink area. But, that is not a fact.
The inside is tongue-n-grove, knotty pine, even the ceilings. The metal roof on the house was put on just before his mother passed away in 1998. It's suppose to be guaranteed for 50 years. That being the case, it should be good for another 39 years. We have the same type roof on our house.
There in insulation in the attic.
It use to be a 3 bedroom house. A family of six lived there. After her husband passed away & her children left home, his mother had the back bedroom taken out. She had it made into her own, private sitting area. However, that can be changed back into a bedroom.
You must see it to appreciate it. It is located approx. 3 miles down Baker Creek Road coming from hwy 82 where the GA Forestry is located. It sits on the on the right side of the road across from a gray, single wide mobile home. A double wide mobile home is behind the house. The house is white.
As for if it will stand up to being move, a couple of people had house mover(s) to come look at it. They said they could move it. So, they believe it's movable.
